Maternity: Maternity sessions are scheduled between 28-36 weeks of your pregnancy. They are held at an outdoor location or in my in-home studio. 

Newborn: Newborn sessions should be scheduled as soon as possible! Once you've booked your session you will receive a welcome guide to look over and help you plan prior to your little one arriving. Once your baby is born we will discuss a specific date/time (usually within 3-4 weeks after birth). All newborn sessions are held during the week in the morning/early afternoon  in my home studio.

 

Family: All family sessions are held at an outdoor location, at sunset. Family sessions book quickly during the early summer and into fall.  

 

How does the online viewing gallery work? All clients receive an online viewing gallery through a webservice called Pixiset with up to 75 images from their session. Each client can then choose 10 images which is included with their package. These will then be sent to them for download.  You also have the option of viewing your edited images in person. You can schedule a viewing appointment after your session. Prints and products will be brought to you to view/purchase!

Why only 30 minute-1 hour for a family session? The amount of time I spend with you does not matter in comparison to the quality of images I capture. The first 30 minutes, especially with kiddos, is when I try to capture the most authentic images, after this, kids are usually worn out and don't want to engage anymore. If I can capture what I need to provide you with beautiful emotion filled images in 30 minutes, then that is all the time we need! If children take time to warm up to me and we spend the majority of the first 30 minutes allowing your children to get comfortable then the session will last longer.

My children don't listen and they will probably cry during the session: No child is perfect and I don't expect them to smile and pose on que. It's OK if they aren't listening, they don't know me, so acting out is normal.  I want all of you to have FUN and I make it my priority to make your children as comfortable as possible, whether it be racing them in a field, asking them questions about things they like, playing games, etc. I WILL get a smile out of them, I promise. 

What happens if it rains? I'll get in touch a couple of days before the shoot (after consulting the weather forecast) and if it looks like rain we can  reschedule your session. 

Do you take any traditional posed shots? Yes, I will spend some time taking some relaxed portraits of you together as a family, as this can be an important record for you, too. But I spend more time letting the action happen naturally and capturing the moments as they unfold! 

 

Should I get my hair and makeup done professionally? Yes! I highly recommend that you get your hair and makeup done for your session. It's time to pamper yourself and feel like a queen!

 

What should I wear? You will receive a guide on what to wear and clothing I have available to you after you book your session. I use a special online tool to help guide you through choosing outfits for each family member!

Do you have a studio? Yes. I have an in-home studio located in Derby, CT. It is a sunroom that is attached to my living space with a separate entrance. It's not a huge space but it's perfect for taking your pictures! (see below).  I also offer fine art portraits, ask me about this if you're interested!
